MEET OUR TEAM
LEADING STAFF
Our current staff is made up of passionate student leaders dedicated to environmental advocacy and community engagement. They oversee LNCP’s day-to-day operations within schools–coordinating cleanups, organizing volunteer opportunities, managing internal communications, and ensuring smooth collaboration between school chapters and community partners. From leading club meetings to maintaining our conservation projects, they serve as the driving force behind LNCP’s mission to protect and preserve our natural spaces.
RYAN NISAY
Executive director & Founder
Growing up in the Potomac Falls Region, Ryan serves as the founder and Executive Director of the Loudoun Nature Conservation Project, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit he built to inspire students and communities across Loudoun County to become more environmentally conscious and to give back through hands-on service.
After stepping back briefly to begin his studies, Ryan has returned to actively leading LNCP’s day-to-day operations, guiding its branches, research initiatives, and partnerships as the organization continues to grow.
He attends Cornell University with a full ride as a double major in Music and Biological Sciences.
SHRAY VIJ
Vice president and Head of Research
Shray joined LNCP in late 2024 as part of the Water Nitrate Study team, where he played an instrumental role in conducting background research and building the scientific foundation for the project. His early work helped shape what would become one of LNCP’s most ambitious research efforts to date.
Now serving as the Head of Research, Shray leads LNCP’s environmental studies and data initiatives, guiding projects from concept to publication. Driven by a passion for applying science to real-world conservation challenges, he works to advance the organization’s mission through rigorous, impactful research that informs both local decision-making and broader environmental advocacy.
ALYSSA NISAY
VP of Outreach & Communications
Growing up in Potomac Falls alongside her brother and LNCP founder Ryan, Alyssa developed an early appreciation for the natural spaces that shaped her community.
As Vice President of Outreach and Communications, she leads LNCP’s social media presence, member engagement, and public-facing campaigns, working to grow the organization’s reach and connect students across Loudoun County with opportunities to get involved.
Driven by a passion for storytelling and community building, Alyssa plays a key role in shaping how LNCP shares its mission with the public and inspires the next wave of student volunteers.
NAWAF SHEHZAD
Director of Expansion
Recognizing the need for stronger student-led conservation efforts across Northern Virginia, Nawaf co-founded the NOVA Nature Conservation branch in 2025 alongside Enzo, helping bring LNCP’s mission to a new community of students and volunteers. That experience building a branch from the ground up shaped his current focus on growth and outreach.
As Director of Expansion, Nawaf leads LNCP’s efforts to establish new branches across Loudoun County and the broader Northern Virginia region, identifying schools and communities where student conservation can take root and guiding new chapters through their early stages. He attends Northern Virginia Community College with plans to transfer to the University of Virginia.
ENZO GARCIA EGUILUZ
PRESIDENT
NVCC Branch
A Loudoun County resident, Enzo recognized early on the need for stronger student-led environmental leadership in his community. In 2025, he co-founded LNCP’s NOVA Nature Conservation Branch, expanding the organization’s reach beyond high schools and into the college community for the first time.
Enzo now serves as President of LNCP’s NVCC Branch, where he leads cleanups, recruitment, and partnership efforts among college students across Northern Virginia, working to build a lasting culture of conservation at the post-secondary level. He attends Northern Virginia Community College with plans to transfer to the University of Virginia.
NATHAN MANU
President
potomac falls Branch
Nathan joined LNCP in August 2024 and quickly became one of the organization’s most dedicated leaders, attending every cleanup and contributing valuable insight into LNCP’s mission and operations. His consistency and commitment made him a natural choice to lead at the school level.
A student at Potomac Falls High School, Nathan now serves as President of LNCP’s Potomac Falls Branch, where he oversees cleanups, club partnerships, and community engagement efforts within the school and its surrounding area. He is committed to fostering environmental stewardship at PFHS and inspiring fellow students to take meaningful action for conservation in their own community.
FOUNDING MEMBERS
Founded in April 2024, LNCP was built by a dedicated group of students passionate about conservation and community service. While these founding members now serve in a reduced capacity, they continue to support the organization through mentorship, strategic guidance, and occasional project involvement. Their legacy and leadership remain integral to LNCP’s continued growth and impact.
Christian Shire
Co-Founder
With a background in environmental sciences, Christian Shire co-founded the Loudoun organization to address the pressing environmental challenges facing our community. Drawing on expertise and passion, he strives to make a meaningful impact through conservation initiatives. Growing up in the Potomac Area, Christian co-founded LNCP to give back to his community.
Christian now attends Gannon University majoring in Marine Biology
Carter Lepuil
CO-Founder
Musically orientated and having arrived in Virginia just two years ago, Carter Lepuil found a compelling reason to join the Loudoun Nature Conservation Project. Drawn by the organization’s commitment to environmental preservation and community engagement. Carter joined the team with enthusiasm, believing that through collaboration and dedication, positive change can be achieved for both the environment and the community.
Carter is attending Boston Conservatory at Berklee in Trombone Performance.
